Thankfully, our trip here was uneventful, long but uneventful. We had delays but it also had long layovers, so no big deal. Andy had to make a mad dash to customs and back at Chiciago but, that was him and not me :) I took some Bonine before we left Birmingham and did not feel queasy at all. For teh first time in my life, I was able to look out a plane window and not feel sick. WooHoo!! We arrived here at about 2pm local time and ran into another RR family on the bus from the plane to the terminal. Immigration at the airport was fairly quick. We got our passport stamped and they screened our luggage and we were off to find Nico. Nico was waiting for us with a sign. He changed some money for us and we headed to his van. It was quite spacious and had seatbelts, so I was a happy camper. We shared the ride to our apartment with the other RR family. It was a relief to see that we were not the only clueless people.
Our first vehicle ride was not too bad, or maybe I was too tired to care. We almost got run over by a bus but I think that was our only close call. My motion sickness medicine was also still working, so bonus. We stopped at a small grocery store to get some food to get us by - water, bread, cheese, Coka Cola Light, bananas, and cereal. Then Nico took us to our apartment. The outside of the apartment looks rough, but the inside is nice, new, and very cute. It has every thing you could need, except fitted sheets :) We will post pictures later. We fell asleep so didn't do much looking around yesterday but will make up for that today. We got to Skype with our babies, which was nice.
Glad to hear things are going so well. Things on the homefront are going reasonably well considering we miss you like crazy.
